The Gender Differences in the History of European Legal Cultures is an international research network which brings together scholars “who analyse in historical perspective the significance and function of gender differences in European legal cultures.” It was created in 2000 at a conference in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and meets approximately every two years in various locations hosted by one of the network’s members.
